Craft

I first started to teach in 1995 and since that time I’ve taught adults at local colleges (Harlow College and Hertford Regional College), for the Workers’ Educational Association and for distance learning colleges such as The International Correspondence School. I gained a BA (Hons) degree at Ruskin University (Cambridge) and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education at Greenwich University (London).

I’m able to teach workshops on a one-to-one basis or students in small groups. I’m often hired on a freelance basis by craft shops but am happy to run workshops at ‘crafty’ hen-parties, in schools ( either just children supported by a teacher or in parent and children sessions) or activity sessions for children at weddings etc.

I’m able to cover the following craft subjects:

  • Paper crafts
  • Ceramics
  • Jewellery making
  • Introduction to crochet
  • Machine Sewing including garment making, patchwork and toy making
  • Hand sewing – fabric flowers
  • 3-D Felt animals
  • Candle making
  • Photography
  • Interior design

Student quotes

“The most important thing that Lynne taught me was to have the confidence to believe I could do it and I can and I do.”
Suzie

“Lynne was my teacher for approx. 7 years of evening classes, so that in itself must say that she was not just a good teacher but she was special enough to keep myself and others going back year after year even through the long winter evenings.”
Sue P
